Then add 2-3 tablespoons lemon juice and a cup or two of chicken stock. Cook the breasts in the liquid for about 20 minutes. Season the chicken with salt.

Oatmeal can seem bland and boring. But, with a few simple ingredients, you can spice up the dish and make it more delicious! Bring one and a half cups of water to boil, then add the oatmeal when the water reaches a rolling boil. As you stir, add small, thin pieces (or slices) of apple. Once the oatmeal has been cooked, add brown Sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The dish will taste just as you would like.

3. Cranberry Tuna Salad

Tuna is also known as a food that is just okay, but not great. This recipe is budget-friendly and healthy! 4. Lean Minestrone

Most minestrones are made using Italian sausages or other fatty cuts, but we’re going for a more budget-friendly option that uses ground turkey. First, brown the turkey in a skillet. Add a little salt to taste. Once the turkey has been browned, transfer it to a slow-cooker along with any vegetables you prefer. Put in 3-4 cups broth. Add the dried oregano & basil. Cover and cook for about 6-8 hours on low. Finish the recipe by adding your favorite small noodles, like shells or bowties in the last 30 minutes. Serve with grated Parmigian cheese

5. Parfaits sugar-free

Parfaits can make an excellent dessert or breakfast, but often have a lot of sugar. To make it healthier, add some splenda and vanilla extract to plain low-fat yogurt. To make delicious syrupy fruit, cook slices of blueberries and strawberries in a saucepan with some splenda. Place the chilled fruit in the refrigerator to cool. Layer it with the sweetened yoghurt and low-fat cereal.
